A Video Presentation

Gil Scott-Heron Bluesology features Gil's daughter Gia Scott-Heron and a band of spoken word artists hailing from Leimert Park in Los Angeles is a reinterpretation that celebrates the legacy of a legend.  Audiences (re)discover the power of Gil Scott-Heron’s iconic lyrics written from 1970 to 2010 that remain as poignant and relevant as ever. Initially the production was conceived and mounted in eleven days for a 2023 Black History event in Los Angeles.  In six days the show sold out, this commanded a repeat performance.  Bigger theatres and longer runs and sold out performances is our norm.

I seek your wisdom and ask for your support of Gil Scott-Heron Bluesology. As a leader in the community, your involvement will help us succeed in carrying out our mission to provide a permanent and safe space for our youth through creative workshops and stability.   Our goal is to open an area of expression for those that don't have area to express and we need your support.

We give youth the opportunity and freedom to express themselves without judgment and find personal satisfaction and acceptance of their own unique voices.  We provide youth the opportunity to sing, recite, dance, scat, rap, tap, act, heal, rebuild and sell their he/art.

Sponsorship opportunities are available now and I look forward to hearing from you.   We plan to tour the world and would love to have you with us.  On behalf of Gil Scott-Heron Bluesology, we thank you for your kind consideration.

Sincerely,

Tuesday Conner
