Comics Creation Class with Clint D. Johnson
The objective of the Comics Creation Class created by Clint D. Johnson is to instruct character creation and development utilizing both visual and written skills. In the development of characters Art Therapy pillars are also incorporated. The final product is based on traditional comic strip and comic book models.
The drawing aspect showcases instructions for the fundamentals of anatomy and environment, while the writing covers personality and goal-oriented / in depth storytelling. These basics are implemented in stages. Each student is encouraged to explore and produce their own ideas.

Art therapy elements are woven in character development to explore depth of emotions, motives and potential solutions where applicable. Each session builds upon the previous as the goal is to create well developed characters suitable for print mediums while expressing the students imagination. Each student who successfully completes the class will receive a certificate of completion. The skills that are touched in the class setting are also transferable to various creative industries.
